Head of research and innovation at the Paraná Sanitation Company (Sanepar). He has worked in the environmental sanitation sector for over 13 years. He has a PhD and Master of Science in Electrical Engineering and Industrial IT from the Federal Technological University of Paraná (UTFPR), specializing in Photonics in Engineering and Automation in Oil and Natural Gas Processes. He has a degree in Environmental Engineering from the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR) and Electrical Engineering, with an emphasis on Electronics and Telecommunications, from UTFPR. Develops projects focused on innovation for sustainability, emphasizing bioenergy, energy efficiency, and resource recovery. He is the author of more than 250 technical-scientific publications. He has experience in conducting collaborative technical work in national and international networks. He is coordinator of the Sewage Treatment Thematic Chamber of the Brazilian Association of Sanitary and Environmental Engineering (ABES) and director of ABES-Paraná. It is a member of the International Water Association (IWA) and the Waste-to-Energy Research and Technology Council (WtERT) – Brazil. He is a member of the Technical Innovation Chamber of the Brazilian Association of State Basic Sanitation Companies (AESBE).
